# Terms of Service - Mastery **Last Updated:** April 12, 2026 ## 1. Agreement to Terms By accessing and using Mastery ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service. ## 2. License to Use Mastery grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms and all applicable laws. All other uses are expressly prohibited. ## 3. User Accounts ### 3.1 Account Registration You may create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to maintain the confidentiality of your password. ### 3.2 Account Responsibility You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. ### 3.3 Age Requirement The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent if under 18. ## 4. User Conduct You agree NOT to: - Post, transmit, or display illegal or harmful content - Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users - Violate intellectual property rights - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service - Reverse engineer or modify the Service - Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service - Bypass payment or subscription requirements - Re-distribute content to unauthorized parties ## 5. Content & Intellectual Property ### 5.1 Ownership All content, materials, software, and designs on Mastery are owned by or licensed to Mastery and are protected by international copyright laws. ### 5.2 Limited Grant You have a limited license to view and use content for personal purposes only. You may not download, copy, reproduce, distribute, or transmit content without written permission. ### 5.3 User-Generated Content If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas to Mastery, you grant us an unrestricted, royalty-free license to use such feedback. ## 6. Subscriptions & Billing ### 6.1 Subscription Plans Mastery offers various subscription plans with different features and pricing. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. ### 6.2 Free Trial Certain plans may include a free trial. Your free trial is non-renewable. We reserve the right to cancel free trials at any time. ### 6.3 Pricing & Changes Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice. Changes to your subscription will be reflected in your next billing cycle. ### 6.4 Cancellation You can cancel your subscription at any time through: - In-app Settings → Subscriptions → Manage - Or by contacting support@mastery.example.com Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months. ### 6.5 Refund Policy We do not issue refunds for partial-month usage. Cancellations take effect at the next billing cycle. ## 7. Payment Terms ### 7.1 Payment Method You agree to provide valid payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method for subscription fees. ### 7.2 Failed Payments If a payment fails, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to provide a valid payment method. Failure to do so may result in account suspension. ### 7.3 Taxes You are responsible for any applicable taxes on your subscription. We will collect and remit taxes as required by law. ## 8. Disclaimer of Warranties The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that: - The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free - Defects will be corrected - The Service is free of viruses or harmful components ## 9. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mastery and its affiliates shall not be liable for: - Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages - Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use - Any damages arising from your use of the Service In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. ## 10. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mastery from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from: - Your use of the Service - Violation of these terms - Infringement of third-party rights - Any illegal or unauthorized activity on your account ## 11. Content Modification & Removal We reserve the right to: - Remove, restrict, or modify any content at our discretion - Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms - Change or discontinue features at any time with or without notice ## 12. Third-Party Services The Service may include links or integrations with third-party services. We are not responsible for: - Third-party content or services - Privacy practices of third parties - Availability or reliability of third-party services ## 13. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Mastery is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction. ## 14. Dispute Resolution Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through: 1. Good faith negotiation between parties (30 days) 2. Binding arbitration under AAA rules, or 3. Court jurisdiction as provided in Section 13 ## 15. Termination We may terminate your account and access to the Service at any time for: - Violation of these terms - Non-payment - Violation of applicable laws - Any reason with 30 days' notice Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may not re-register under a different account if terminated for violation of these terms. ## 16. Modifications to Terms We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to you via: - In-app notification - Email notification - Updated "Last Updated" date Continued use of the Service after modifications constitutes acceptance of updated terms. ## 17. Severability If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect. ## 18. Entire Agreement These terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mastery regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications. ## 19.
